Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Our annual comedy festival offers a huge range of hilarious acts, featuring local faces such as Wil Anderson and Leno and Woodley and acts from around the world like Rich Hall and Fin Taylor. The festival runs from the 28th of March to the 22nd of April and operates from a number of Melbourne venues, so there is plenty of opportunity to catch some of your favourite acts.

NGV Triennial

This is your last opportunity to visit this epic gallery-wide exhibition at the NGV. Exhibiting the work of artists from 32 countries, the exhibition features everything from installations to video art to performance art. Set aside a day to be able to explore the whole gallery and uncover new, modern pieces interspersed between permanent gallery displays. Don’t miss the giant skulls! Hurry in before the exhibition closes on April 15th.


ACMI’s Wonderland will open this April, showcasing a history of Alice in Wonderland on screen. ACMI is renowned for their use of new technologies in exhibitions, and Wonderland will be much more of an interactive experience than your standard gallery. Visitors will be transported on a journey through Lewis Carrol’s world, following a map that will lead them through the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, the Queen’s Croquet ground and the Hallway of Doors. The event runs from the 5th of April until the 7th of October.

Nocturnal at the Melbourne Museum

Melbourne Museum’s final night time session will be held on the 6th of April. The museum will open its doors after dark, allowing visitors to explore the exhibits while enjoying a beverage from the museum bar. The night also features a number of DJs including Wax’o Paradiso, Harvey Sutherland and DJ JNETT. The museum provides a unique backdrop for this lively night of music, dancing and exploring.
